Swim Lessons for Bruce
Brucie started his swim lessons this week at the Tampa Bay Turners swim school. Although he was a little nervous for the first class (ok...maybe very nervous - he cried the whole time), he did really well and I think it's going to be great for him. The class was a good mix of fun (with songs and actions) and swimming techniques. I'm really excited to see his progress over the next four weeks. It's so important that he has a respect and comfortability with water...especially here in Florida and with us having our pool. More updates to come!
Trip to New York - adults only!
Bruce and I took a trip to New York in April for Craig and Erin's wedding (kidless I must note). We stayed in the city the first night, not far from Madison Square Garden and within walking distance from Times Square. It's always on in NYC until the wee hours of the morning! The next day we headed to Brian and Melissa's in West Babylon, Long Island. We had so much fun staying with them! It was great to see Melissa with her baby belly...we can't wait for little Jason's arrival. The wedding was a blast! Erin looked beautiful and Craig looked handsome...they made a great bride and groom. The food was spectacular everywhere we went in NY! Especially at the wedding! On the last day we visited with Paul, Katie, Rebecca, and Christopher. It was really nice to see them and spend some time catching up! Although we had a great trip, we couldn't wait to get home to our little guy! We missed him so much and couldn't wait to see him!
Nothing says summertime like ice cream!
We heard the ice cream truck coming so Bruce took Brucie outside to get some ice cream. He was so funny eating this ice cream sandwich. At first he was a little hesitant to dig in, but once he did there was no stopping him! And not to mention, Ike and Angel were right there by his side ready to catch any pieces that fell. It was a kodak moment!
Easter Day!
We enjoyed a nice Easter day full of egg hunts, yummy food, and of course candy! Bruce was a lucky boy who had two Easter egg hunts on Easter - one at home on Easter morning and another in the afternoon at Grandma & Grand-Dad Mesagno's with all of his cousins. He had so much fun hunting for the eggs and putting them in his basket! And what a fun surprise to find out what goodies were in each egg that he found. After visiting at Grandma & Grand-Dad's for lunch, we went over to Aunt Judi & Uncle Bill's house for dessert. It was so nice to spend the holiday with our families and to see everyone.

Busch Gardens
We took Bruce to Busch Gardens on Saturday afternoon and he loved it! He had so much fun watching the roller coasters zip by and checking out all of the cool animals. He was pointing every where asking "What's that?" I took him for a ride on the carousel and he had so much fun! As a matter of fact, he cried when we had to get off because he didn't want to! With his need for speed and riding his toys, I just know that he's going to be my roller coaster buddy when he gets big enough! I can't wait!!

Merry Christmas!
Christmas was so much fun this year with little Bruce. Although he really didn't get into unwrapping presents, he really enjoyed all of the sites of Christmas. A couple of days before Christmas, he started pointing at things and saying "What's that?" so it made Christmas even more fun to hear him asking about everything! We took him to visit Santa Claus and he had so much fun! He was hamming it up for Santa with his big smile! On Christmas morning, he was so excited to see his new roller coaster set up in the living room that he started clapping his hands.
Happy New Year!

Tour of Christmas Lights
We took a tour of Christmas Lights on a horse-drawn trailer on Sunday evening. It was so much fun! Bruce was blown away by the lights! And when he first saw the Clydesdale Horse he couldn't stop staring. I think he was making the connection between the horse and his new spring/rocking horse at home.
Today Bruce got his first letter from Santa Claus in the mail. He wrote to Bruce telling him all about the elves and all of the work they have been doing to get ready for Christmas. It was such a cute, nice surprise! Only 10 more days...until Christmas. Can't wait!

Bruce & Kaden's 1st Birthday Party!
Bruce and Kaden celebrated their 1st birthday party on December 6th with family and friends. We had such a great time and the boys really enjoyed themselves. Bruce really dug into his smash cake! At first he didn't know what to do so he stuck his fingers in it and held them in there. But then Scotty helped him out and showed him the way! After that, there was no stopping him! :) The kids all bounced around in the bounce houses and had so much fun! We really are blessed with such great family and friends. Bruce had such a wonderful 1st birthday thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with him!
WOW!! 30 ALREADY??
Bruce's 1st Birthday on Dec 3rd
We celebrated Bruce's 1st birthday on December 3rd with Grandma & Grandpa Miller from Michigan. We had such a great day! Bruce opened gifts in the morning and then in the afternoon we took him to the Aquarium at the Pier in downtown St. Pete. He was fascinated watching all of the cool fish swim around. Later that night, we celebrated with his first birthday cake. Bruce enjoyed it and had fun playing in it.
On his birthday, he started getting his balance standing on his own. He was taking a step or two toward Grandma and Grandpa, but that was about as far as he would get. I can tell that he's getting more comfortable on his feet though. Probably won't be too long before he's running around here!

Bruce's first boo boo!
Bruce got his first boo boo! He was trying to climb up a step and fell. He was too quick for Dad to catch him...poor little guy! He's healing up fast though.
We've been getting ready for the big day...just over a week away. It's crazy to think that he's going to be a year old already. Whew...where does time go?

All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth!
Bruce cut his two front teeth and both teeth on each side of the front ones in the past two weeks! They just popped out one after another! He has the cutest little smile full of teeth. And boy, does this little guy LOVE bath time. He just plays and plays. He'll lay down on his belly with his legs spread out and splash around. It's so funny!

It's already November??!!
Wow! I can't believe it's already November. This year has flown by so quickly. Bruce is growing up so fast! He's getting better at walking with assistance every day. He especially loves walking behind his push toy. He's still working on getting his balance, but it won't be long. But that also means he's getting into way more than he used to (kitchen cabinets, dog dishes, closets, etc.). All you parents know exactly what I mean. Time to truly baby proof the house!!!

Happy Halloween!
We took Bruce trick-or-treating for his first Halloween on Saturday and he had so much fun! He went as the Incredible Hulk (very fitting, don't you think?!). We went over to Aunt Melissa and Uncle Kevin's house so he could go with his cousins Kaden, Austin, and Nicholas. Bruce and Kaden were so cute riding around in their little cars all dressed up! It was definitely a Halloween to remember.
