Swim Lessons for Bruce
Brucie started his swim lessons this week at the Tampa Bay Turners swim school. Although he was a little nervous for the first class (ok...maybe very nervous - he cried the whole time), he did really well and I think it's going to be great for him. The class was a good mix of fun (with songs and actions) and swimming techniques. I'm really excited to see his progress over the next four weeks. It's so important that he has a respect and comfortability with water...especially here in Florida and with us having our pool. More updates to come!
Trip to New York - adults only!
Bruce and I took a trip to New York in April for Craig and Erin's wedding (kidless I must note). We stayed in the city the first night, not far from Madison Square Garden and within walking distance from Times Square. It's always on in NYC until the wee hours of the morning! The next day we headed to Brian and Melissa's in West Babylon, Long Island. We had so much fun staying with them! It was great to see Melissa with her baby belly...we can't wait for little Jason's arrival. The wedding was a blast! Erin looked beautiful and Craig looked handsome...they made a great bride and groom. The food was spectacular everywhere we went in NY! Especially at the wedding! On the last day we visited with Paul, Katie, Rebecca, and Christopher. It was really nice to see them and spend some time catching up! Although we had a great trip, we couldn't wait to get home to our little guy! We missed him so much and couldn't wait to see him!
Nothing says summertime like ice cream!
We heard the ice cream truck coming so Bruce took Brucie outside to get some ice cream. He was so funny eating this ice cream sandwich. At first he was a little hesitant to dig in, but once he did there was no stopping him! And not to mention, Ike and Angel were right there by his side ready to catch any pieces that fell. It was a kodak moment!
Easter Day!
We enjoyed a nice Easter day full of egg hunts, yummy food, and of course candy! Bruce was a lucky boy who had two Easter egg hunts on Easter - one at home on Easter morning and another in the afternoon at Grandma & Grand-Dad Mesagno's with all of his cousins. He had so much fun hunting for the eggs and putting them in his basket! And what a fun surprise to find out what goodies were in each egg that he found. After visiting at Grandma & Grand-Dad's for lunch, we went over to Aunt Judi & Uncle Bill's house for dessert. It was so nice to spend the holiday with our families and to see everyone.
